At the cemetary of Adriani
We start at 10am at the cemetary of Adriani on the main road to Militsa.
Initially we walk slightly uphill after the large photovoltaic plant.
A beautiful hiking trail leads to the abandoned village of Paneika.
There we do our break and look at the empty, increasingly dilapidated houses.
There are many beautiful photo opportunities. Then we continue to the intersection with the five paths, one of which leads to Neraidovrisi. This village is also abandoned.
Here the path forks and we walk downhill back to the starting point.
The hike is not difficult, mostly on good trails. The section immediately after the five-path intersection is often overgrown with tall grass so it's recommended to wear long pants.
In Adriani, there was an old cafe on the corner perhaps we'll be lucky and it's still open.

The chronicle of today
Today 32 freewalkers and 2 dogs gathered at Adriani.
Horst and Dagmar received a rousing welcome after managing to climb up Profitis Ilias together, almost 2500 m high. A fantastic achievement.
The walk was beautiful with two very short drizzles.
As soon as we unpacked our rain jackets, it stopped again.
For many of us it was a completely new hike. The banana break was well-planned, right when the first light drizzle arrived.
After that, we continued to the intersection of the five-way intersection, wondering, as always, which path should we take but the final decision was the right one.
Everything went perfectly.
Along the way, we sang a nice birthday song for Horst and then quickly headed downhill for a farewell drink in a Kafenion at Longá.
Thanks, dear Horst.
See you next Saturday, 11th of October at 10 am at Vasilitsi.
