Chandrinou square
It's a tradition that we have an evening walk to the chapel of Profiti Elias before the summer break.
At the chapel we will have some Meze and a drink waiting for the spectacular sunset in the west and the mystic moonrise in the east, short before araund 9.00 pm.
There is a big table for our full-moon buffet. So we kindly ask everybody to bring some meze and drinks for our picnic.
To avoid waste please bring you own forks, knifes, cups and plates and garbage bags. It would be very helpful if one or two drivers give all these things a lift uphill.

As we go down in the night with the moonlight maybe a torch can be helpful.
Attention: even on a hot day it can be cold and windy up there. Please take a pullover or sweater with you.
The chronicle of today
To take the last walk before the summer break, we waited for the full moon.
14 Freewalkers and four precious helpers joined us in the late afternoon in Chandrinou.
We walked a relatively short climb to the chapel of the Profiti Elia where we set up a picnic.
Each participant brought food and drink to share between everyone.
Waiting for the full moon to rise was pleasant despite the breezy evening and the temperature dropping slightly.
The return journey was accompanied by magical moonlight.
At the end, we met on the typical square of Chandrinou to have a drink together at the Kafenion .
With the arrival of the summer heat, as usual, the Freewalkers are taking a break.
We will meet again on Sunday 7th of September to start as we finished with a new full moon walk.
The appointment will be this time in Achladochori.
We will give you more details a few weeks beforehand.
