For the second time this year we will respect the measures the Greek Government took because of the threatening of Covid 19. So at least for the coming weeks we stop organizing the group walks. We hope to see you all again in better times! In the meantime keep walking, enjoy  the landscape and most important....stay safe!

It is now in the middle of the summer season. The high temperatures don’t invite us to make walks. In this strange year everything is different from other years. After the complete lockdown we started on the 10th of June very carefully with our regular walks. On the 4th of July we organized the last one, the full moon walk from Chandrinou. It was wonderful, never seen it so beautiful before !!!

As always during July and August we take a break. Our walks will start again in September. But you never know, maybe there is someone who wants to organize a lovely evening, breakfast or early bird walk, even a nice daytrip…..whatever. If you have a good idea please let us know!  Check the website every now and then......Soon there will be a new overview of pictures made by some  of our brave summer walkers.....

On the 28 of April our friend and freewalker Chris Dowdle passed away. She was a freewalker from the  early hours and her walks from Methoni were famous.  She will be deeply missed in  our Freewalkers walking  community. We will remember her with great respect.

The funeral will take place on Tuesday 12th May 2020 at 1pm

There is a little bit more freedom now. Maybe it's an idea, if you are going for a walk this week alone or in a small group, to light a candle for Chris somewhere in one of the many churches and chapels in our surroundings....... 

Dear walking friends, where ever you are at the moment. As you might have noticed and as you will understand in the given circumstances, there are no organized walks at the moment because of the Coronavirus. We take our responsibility by not organizing any walk until further notice. Some days ago we would have written: That does not mean you should stop walking in our beautiful area as long as you follow the general regulations given by the authorities. But recently things are changed. It is only allowed to walk with one or two persons as a fitness excercice, for a walk with your dog or for a walk to your supermarket or pharmacie. And for the rest of it: please stay at home! Take your time to read the famous walkingbook Endaxi again, or to look at the beautiful pictures at our website or facebook. And if you go outside, please take new pictures and send these to our emailadress Everyweek we shall put a selection on the site. Take pictures of everything you see during your allowed walks, the flowers in your garden, the beautiful Greek sky....... what ever. Keep yourself fit and healthy, keep a little bit walking....
