At the old pump house on the edge of the lagoon
First we walk uphill to the ruins of the Paleokastro. Here we have a beautiful view over the Voidokilia bay. And we have a short break here.
We walk back the same way. Afterwards the route is completely flat over easy-to-walk sandy paths and a small stretch of beach.
On this beach we have our 2nd break. Then we walk around the lagoon where we hope to see flamingos.
We drive back to the village of Gialova, where we can have a drink in one of the cafenions.

The chronicle of today
Finally, after two postponements due to bad weather, we managed to take our lovely walk around the Voidokilia lagoon.
There were 18 Freewalkers and two dogs, welcomed by a slightly cloudy start to the day, which later turned into a sunny day.
Today we had the pleasure of welcoming four new participants.
Although we had to postpone the date, we still had the chance to admire the flamingos in the lagoon before they left.
At the end of this always pleasant and emotional walk, we all went for a drink together in Gialova.
